For the seventh consecutive year, the Rijeka Summer Nights Festival will be organized by the “Ivan pl. Zajc” Croatian National Theatre, the City of Rijeka and the Rijeka Tourist Board and will take place at the end of June and throughout July, enriching Rijeka’s cultural life and turning the city into a large stage.

In the Trsat Castle area, under the sponsorship of the City of Rijeka, the Rijeka Tourist Board, the County of Primorje and Gorski kotar as well as numerous sponsors and media, and organized by the “Bašćanski glasi” Catering guild, preparations are culminating in regard to time both for you and for us – for the longest and as far as the program is concerned – the most varied cultural and entertaining event in Croatia known as “Summer at Gradina”.

The International Event, Fiumanka, is approaching its eleventh edition! Rijeka and its port will once again be the meeting place for numerous national and international yachtsmen as well as the media. It is completely free of charge for all participants and visitors which is its greatest particularity.

Within the “Sacen international” tourist event, the international tourist patrol visited Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Albania, Cyprus, Tunisia, Malta and Greece and the professional international jury unanimously chose the best:
 On this occasion, the Rijeka Tourist Board won the prestigious GOLDEN TOURIST HEART award for organizing the best tourist event in south eastern Europe in 2009 – Rijeka’s Carnival. See more here.

The Rijeka Youth Hostel will be the first to achieve the prestigious HI-Quality certificate. The review was carried out by Mr. Iddan Kroll, main auditor of the International Federation of Youth Hostels (Hostelling International) for the HI-Quality system. During the audit, all key processes and documents within the Rijeka Youth Hostel with regard to the management, reception, cleaning and maintenance as well as the kitchen were analysed in detail and then positively evaluated.
